The Oxford MIGMAKER 201 is a single phase 200A step regulated MIG welder made by British welding machine manufacturer Oxford. This is the most popular machine in the Oxford range and is ideal for automotive work, sheet metal fabrication, and DIY use. It now comes with reverse polarity as standard, allowing for the use of gasless wire if needed.
It welds materials up to 5mm thick and operates at 3/4 power using a 13A domestic plug. The welder is supplied with a 3m MIG torch and a single stage 2 gauge argon regulator.
The Oxford MIGMAKER features a copper wound transformer, rugged switch gear, an over-rated rectifier, and fan cooling, all housed in a sturdy 2mm steel chassis. Transformer-based machines are preferred by some for their long life spans and reliability. The MIGMAKER range is Oxford’s most popular model. A high torque cast aluminum wire drive system with a 70W drive motor ensures smooth wire feeding hour after hour.
Oxford takes pride in handcrafting each machine using the best components sourced in the UK whenever possible. Updated in 2023, the MIGMAKER 201 now complies with BS IEC60974-6 for improved energy efficiency. The transformers are highly energy-efficient, and the machine draws just 25 watts on standby.
